The Shakra Centre Academy has now been established for more than 7 years with FHT approved Fully Qualified and insured Tutors, Assessors
and Internal verifyers
We are located in the centre of Kent and just an hour from London.
Situated in beautiful natural surroundings in the Kent countryside
There is also disabled access & facilities and and free large car park onsite
Our newly renovated academy at the centre is the perfect environment away from the office or home to enjoy these professional accredited courses
We have a main hall suitable for powerpoint presentations & practical assessments
plus additional therapy rooms for smaller training groups and break away rooms
On most courses our resident chef will freshly prepare lunches by order with a choice of menu
including gluten free & vegan options
Freshly ground coffee and other refreshments and snacks are available to purchase in our coffee shop
Being a venue accepted by the FHT we offer courses to the highest standard, both in venue and in the qualifications of trainers & assessors. All courses have additional IVs (internal verifiers) to ensure the courses are run to the FHT professional standard of quality

Special Needs Awareness Course
This invaluable course helps us all from individuals to professionals. It is 2 day course total £190 including lunches both days, plus Manual & Certificate
Created and Facilitated by Dawn a Qualified Tutor & Therapist who has many years experience of working in Mental Health both as a therapist and as a care home supervisor with special needs and dementia.
After advising easy natural methods to friends who were parents of children with autism and aspergers, parents found that by trying simple changes to the home and lifestyle made remarkable positive outcomes which benefited not just the children but the whole family. All people whether professional or personally involved with special needs will benefit from this highly informative course.
This 2 day course is not only is informative for Professionals, Parents and Carers alike, it brings a new holistic approach which is effective and safe. Bringing a new an enlightening way of helping clients enjoy a new lease of life and for professionals to understand those on the spectrum, dealing with clients with the respect they deserve, making their professional environment a more pleasurable atmosphere for everyone.

Cancer Awareness Course
This course is suitable for professional and non-professional people who desire a basic knowledge of cancer. This course would also suit individuals who have a family member or friend suffering with cancer or even suffering themselves and wish to have more of an understanding about the illness.
Day one includes a basic understanding of the structure and function of a cell and how cancers form. The course also looks at the different types of cancers that exist and the conventional treatments used to treat cancer.
Day two of the course is only available for therapists who are qualified in one or more complementary therapies such as, Massage, Reflexology, Indian head massage, Aromatherapy, Herbal medicine, Homeopathy and Acupuncture. There is no formal assessment or examination with this course of study.
Therapists who are seeking to gain CPD points must attend both days for certification to be awarded
